Seasonal Hiking
The Mountain Laurel Hike Committee organizes Sunday hikes in the spring, from April through June, and in the fall from September through December. If there’s snow in December, our hikes become snowshoe outings. Sunday hikes begin at 12:30 pm from April through October and last for 3 to 4 hours. In late fall we start at 11:30. At the conclusion of each hike we bring food and picnic at the trailhead, party at a hiker’s home or gather at a local pizza place.
During the winter, please be sure you bring spikes or grippers to all hikes. You don't want to be skittering down the ice and wish you had them! Gaiters are also helpful to keep snow, slush and mud out of your hiking boots. For more information, look at the Hiking Safety & Information Tri-fold Pamphlet.
The hiking schedule is subject to change, especially due to weather, so check the Event Calendar or Squall for last minute updates.
