About this event
We will ascend on the Metacomet (blue) trail, which has a long, steep start and is a fairly rugged and rocky trail, to Lake Louise. We will return on the yellow trail, also rugged and rocky, along a trap rock ridge with beautiful views of the western hills.
This hike is rated moderate to difficult, with some steep rocky sections, and is ~ 3.5 - 4 miles long.
Our hike leader just returned from a test of the trail and reports lots of stones along the path. He STRONGLY recommends using hiking poles.
Arrive by 12:15 PM. Hike steps off promptly at 12:30 PM.
