Hike Leader Jeanne Delehanty 860-748-5858. Meet at 11:15 AM. Hike steps off promptly at 11:30 AM. Please be on time. It is getting too chilly to wait for late arrivals.
Park in the Central CT Endoscopy lot, 440 New Britain Ave., Plainville. Trail access is across the street.
Hike is approx. 5 miles and rated moderate to slightly challenging with a steep, uphill start to the ridge. The trail follows the Metacomet Ridge and has a few steep rocky climbs/scrambles on the ascent and descent. You will see remnants of an old Nike site and have great views from Pinnacle Rock.
BYOBeverages, snacks, a chair and extra layers or a blanket for apres in the parking lot.
